Four percent of employers offer their employees assistance for student loan payments. Katie Berliner is an account executive who works for YouDecide. She stated that more employers are offering student loan payment assistance because they are realizing that student loan debt can be a major burden. She also stated that offering student loan payment assistance is a great way to attract and retain talented people.

Pengium Random House, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Millennium Trust are some of the companies that offer student loan payment assistance. Katie recommends that people do a Google search to find an employer who offers this program.

Volunteering

You can enroll in the Shared Harvest Fund. You will need to create a profile and list the social causes that you are interested in. You will work with various businesses in your area. You will receive a stipend of $250 to $1,000 per month in exchange for your volunteer work.

The work will start off in Chicago, New York or Los Angeles. You may also be able to work in Arkansas.

Apps

You can download the Givling app on your phone or tablet. This is an app that allows you to play trivia games. You can get up to $5,000 per month. Seth Beard is the chief marketing officer for Givling. He stated that many people are not good trivia players. However, they are motivated to pay off their student loan debt.

There is another app called ChangeEd. It allows you to put the spare change that you get towards paying off your student loans.
